From Day #1, Travis made sure my daughter understood exactly what had happened, what the reconstruction looked like and what the goal was for recovery. He stressed the importance of being diligent with exercises and not pushing too hard in the beginning. Travis instilled confidence in my daughter to work through the stiffness in her knee and she began to see results quickly.

Throughout the course of rehabilitation, Travis was in contact with my daughter’s strength trainer, as well as her surgeon, and together they created an individualized program for us to follow. My first contact with the clinic was on the phone with the lovely Emily. Emily is very kind, professional and always accommodating. She answered all of my questions and based on what I told her about my MVA she recommended who I should see. I am very fortunate to be under the care of the best physiotherapists in South Calgary. It was sad to see Dominique leave to move to a new city for wonderful new opportunities (I wish her the very best), but Josh has been amazing at picking up right where she left off and I feel very well taken care of and in great hands. Josh is very knowledgeable, professional, confident, kind hearted, soft spoken and eager to assess and administer the best care and I get positive results. Cody is always friendly, upbeat, positive and ready to assist with warm pads and compresses (I can tell Cody has a great smile under that mask!). I wish I could see Brittney every week for massage! She is amazing, very knowledgeable and skilled, caring, warm and friendly and again I always see positive results after I see her. I found that utilizing massage therapy with physiotherapy has made a tremendous impact on my healing and this is due to the overlapping comprehensive care from all therapists.

I arrived after having dislocated my arm and severely damaged my rotator cuff. When I first started working with Tarun, my strength and range of motion were very limited. Eventually, I attended... read moreI had a bad shoulder for several months and it was negatively impacting my quality of life. Eventually, I attended a clinic in downtown close to my work that has physiotherapy. Unfortunately the person working there told me I would have to rest for 4 to 6 weeks while they apply ultrasound to my shoulder.

I had been out of the gym for two months already, so I was determined to get a second opinion that could potentially expedite the process. I was lucky enough to end up at Panther Sport Medicine where I had the privilege of receiving treatment from Kevin You.

When he had assessed my shoulder he did fantastic job of explaining what was wrong with it, and what we had to do to get it back to full strength. His methods of needling, heating, and then teaching me various exercises to strengthen my shoulder allowed me to heal and return to the gym that very week. It has been three weeks since my first appointment and my shoulder feels better than ever.

If anyone is looking for a clinic where you can receive excellent treatment and proactive solutions to their problems, I highly recommend going to Kevin You. read less

I went in with very uncomfortable back and leg nerve pain that I had been dealing with for months. In the first visit Darcy diagnosed my injury and started treatment which allowed me to start sleeping better and resume some of my daily activities. After the second visit the results basically made me feel that life could get back to normal. I am now three treatments in and life is good! I wish I made the call to go see them sooner. An added bonus is that the front staff is very efficient with their appointment scheduling and I have never had to wait in the waiting room!

I saw Amanda Bjerkseth three times who helped me better than any other physio I’ve seen previously. I was expecting to be sat down and hooked up to a tens machine or given some sort of gel and pulse technology but she gave a range of physical exercises designed to strengthen the muscles around the problem area so I built up adequate support. Each visit meant new exercises were prescribed depending on my progress or what was/wasn’t working. Exercises increased in difficulty and over a month or so I got stronger and the pain started to lessen. Exercises were emailed in a simple visual way so I knew what to do and kept form.

Amanda is clear, concise and knowledgeable. Her advice as well as knowledge of what will help is really good. I will be going back to her for any future issues and recommend her and Panther for any physio needs. read less

I was fortunate to have an amazing physiotherapist who assisted me in attaining a full recovery from my fracture. Her name is Victoria Addison. Victoria is not only well informed and versed in her field, but utilized a number of interventions - including applying ultrasound to the injury to massage and to providing a number and variety of exercise regimes that assisted in the healing of the fracture. Victoria would come highly recommended. The clinic itself is clean and spacious. The front end staff are very friendly and welcoming. Great experience overall. read less

Dannielle helped me book my first appointment and she was very patient and helpful as I fumbled over the given paperwork a bit, but was happy to help and explain where I needed. When I came in for my appointment, she was able to direct bill right away and made it so easy; all I had to do was give my card details and the rest was taken care of!

I booked in with Erin and she was so kind and considerate. I ended up having to change the parts of my body we were working on last minute (and I mean, super last minute - during appointment time) and she was more than happy to do this for me. It was so refreshing to feel like I was being heard and understood with what I needed, and the issues I was having. I had to have a fifteen minute treatment done and although she was busy helping patients in-between, she never failed to check in on me and make sure I was still doing okay! I also received an email of my treatment plan which is beyond awesome to have to make sure I am doing what I need to do, to help Erin help me.

I called to book for a follow up appointment and Marlee was so helpful and sweet. She was also so patient with me while I deep dove in to my busy calendar and although I only called to book one appointment, she offered to book me in for the month instead which made my life so much easier to plan around, especially being Christmas season!

All that aside, the clinic was very clean, welcoming, and calm. My appointment was on time, all staff was efficient in helping others and myself in a timely yet effective manner. Lots of free parking and easy directions to the clinic itself within the building - stairs and an elevator to get to the clinic; easily accessible for those with mobility issues/disabilities. read less

On the first visit she was very impressive: she was able to explain the specific muscles and processes that would facilitate healing, as well as how they intersected.

A lot of phyios talk like they know their stuff, but her knowledge really is ingrained and accurate. I fact-checked her after my first session when I got home, and she was bang-on. Impressive considering that my injury is not a particularly common one.

Her treatments are expeditious and focused on my needs. She provides hands-on instruction for exercises and feedback on progress. She is prioritizing treatment to help me return to sport and is responsive to my input and symptoms.

The facility itself is the typical physio office: curtains separating beds. It's clean and in good repair. My experience with the support staff has also been positive.

Overall, I am very impressed with my experience so far at Panther and with Jenna in particular. read less

Darcy and Teri have proved time and time again that their knowledge of the body and how it works goes far beyond simply knowing the names of the muscles and bones.
